The White Mountains really showed off for Sami & Zack during their wintery engagement session. While visiting New England, they wanted their photos to document their wild and adventurous lifestyle, while also capturing how much they just love being around each other. We started our session at Echo Lake, in awe of the mountains surrounding us on all sides. We then put on our hiking boots and made our way to Artist’s Bluff, a peak overlooking the lake, putting you side by side with the mountains. It’s breathtaking.
As a photographer, I strive to document what’s real between two people. To really do that, it takes time to get to know one another and learn about each other. The three of us spent over 3 hours hanging out, hiking, sitting in the sand just talking — and by the time the session ended I really felt like I was saying goodbye to two good friends who totally let me third wheel a really awesome date.
We watched the sun go down as we hiked back towards solid ground and I knew immediately these photos would be a perfect memory for them to look back on someday. And I love that.
