Whenever I find myself in need of inspiration, I like to go back to some of my older work… and I always find my way back to these family photos at Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester, MA. These images remind me of the simplicity of life and how freeing it is to just be. There was no real posing, no ideal “shot,” no expectations. Just play. A day at the beach with your family. They explored the sand and the sea without worrying about ruining their outfits or driving home in wet clothes, and instead they lived through what I’m sure will be a core memory. It has been such a joy to watch this family grow up together and to document these sweet, fleeting moments in time.
